Exactly what it says. This service manual has a lot of information that would be difficult to figure out, like the exact height the foot should be above the plate when adjusting and tuning mechanisms. It’s written in a clear, step-by-step manner for service technicians who aren’t familiar with this machine. It includes both a full tuning guide, common technical problems, and complete disassembly instructions.

I couldn’t find this manual online anywhere for free, so I begrudgingly paid for it, but it did let me identify and fix my issue. If a few dollars is what it takes to keep this obscure document for a 50 year old machine available for future, then I suppose it’s worth it.
