How To Thread A Singer 750 Sewing Machine.

Learn how to thread your Singer 750 Sewing Machine using this easy step-by-step tutorial.

 

Threading the Machine

NOTE : IF YOUR MACHINE IS NOT THREADED CORRECTLY, IT WILL NOT SEW PROPERLY.

Spools of various sizes are held firmly on the horizontal spool pin with the spool holder.
Slip spool of thread onto spool pin and press holder firmly against spool so that thread unwinds from a stationary spool .
To hold small spools – press small end of holder against spool.
To hold large spools – press wide end of holder against spool .

 

 

(1) Turn hand wheel to raise take-up lever to its highest position, and raise presser toot to release the tension discs.

(2) Lead thread through all points as shown, making sure to :
a) Thread tension discs as illustrated .
b) Thread take-up lever from back to front, guiding thread down over top of lever and then up into eyelet .
Thread needle from front to back, drawing about four inches of thread through eye of needle.
For greater convenience in threading the needle, use the built-in needle threader (see next page for instructions).

Threading the Machine

NOTE : IF YOUR MACHINE IS NOT THREADED CORRECTLY, IT WILL NOT SEW PROPERLY.

Press the needle up/down button to raise the take-up lever
to the highest position.
Press the lockout key to lockout the machine. Raise the
presser foot.(1) Lockout key

Pass the thread in order from 1 to 7.

 

(1) Hold the thread with both hands and pass the thread
into the guide slot.
(B) Guide slot

(2) Hold the thread with both hands and draw the thread
around the corner of the guide.
Firmly pull the thread toward you along the right
channel until the thread snaps.

(C) Right channel

(3) Draw the thread down along the right channel and
around the bottom of the thread guide plate.
Pull the thread up along the left channel.

(D) Left channel

(4) While holding the thread at the spool, firmly draw the
thread up and to the back of the take-up lever. Draw
the thread forward to draw it into the eye of the take-up
lever.

(5) Then pull the thread down along the left channel
and through the lower thread guide.

(6) Slide the thread behind the needle bar thread guide
from the left.

(7) Thread the needle with the needle threader (refer to
the next page).

Threading the Machine

NOTE : IF YOUR MACHINE IS NOT THREADED CORRECTLY, IT Will NOT SEW PROPERLY.
Turn the hand wheel toward you until the needle is raised to its highest position. Raise presser foot lifter. Place a sp0ol of thread on the spool pin. Refer to Figure 9 for identification of parts and proceed with upper threading as follows:

 

UPPER (NEEDLE) THREAD
1. Slip thread under and up into rear thread guide ; bring thread forward over the arm and through front thread guide in the same manner.
2. Draw the thread down around and between the tension discs from right to left.
3. Bring the thread all the way to the right and hook the thread over the top of the check spring from right to left.
4. Pull the thread under the large thread guide and up to the thread take-up lever.
5. Insert the thread through the hole m the take-up lever from right to left.
6. Draw the thread down through the lower thread guide· and the needle bar thread guide.
7. Pass the thread through the eye of the needle from front to rear. Draw about 3 inches of thread through the needle. This length is necessary to begin sewing.

Threading the Machine

UPPER (NEEDLE) THREAD
1. Turn the balance wheel by hand toward you until the take-up lever is at the highest
point.
2. Place the spool of thread on the spool pin. Pass the thread through the eye of thread
guide 1 and down between the upper thread tension discs 2 from the upper side of
guide stud.
3. Now bring the thread down under the thread check-spring 3 from left to right, up to the thread take-up lever 4, and through the eye of the lever from left to right.
4. Carry the thread down through thread guides 5 and 6.
5. Now thread the needle from front to back and draw the thread about 6 inches.

Threading the Machine

A) Raise the thread take-up lever to its highest position by turning the handwheel counterclockwise
B) Raise the presser foot lifter
C) Place a spool on the spool pin, with the thread coming off from the bottom toward the front of the sewing machine.

1) Draw the end of the thread around the upper thread guide
2) While holding the thread near the spool, draw the end of the thread down around the check spring holder
3) Firmly draw the thread up to the take-up lever, and down into the take-up lever eye.
4) Pass the thread behind the lower thread guide on the left
5) Slip the thread in the needle bar thread guide on the left. Thread the needle from front to back, or use the built-in needle threader

 

 

Built-in needle threader
1) Knob
2) Hook

1) Raise the needle to its highest position .. Push down the needle threader knob (1) as far as it will go. The hook comes out through the needle eye from behind.
2) Paying close attention to the needle point, draw the thread around the guide and under the hook(2)
3) Release the knob slowly while holding the thread end with your hand. A loop of the thread is pulled up through the needle eye.

Note:
The needle threader can be used with a #11 to #16 needle, or a #11 Blue needle.
Thread size 50 to 90 is recommended ..
