How To Thread A Janome 5124 Sewing Machine.
Learn how to thread your Janome Sewing Machine using this easy step-by-step tutorial.
Threading the Machine
* Raise the presser foot lifter.
* Press the up/down needle position button twice to raise the needle.

UPPER (NEEDLE) THREAD
1. Lead the thread from the spool and pass it through the thread guide. Then draw it down along the right slot.

2. Then, down around the check spring holder.

3. Firmly draw the thread from right to left over the take-up lever and down into the take-up lever eye.

4. Slide the thread behind the needle bar thread guide on the left.
Thread the needle from front to back or use the needle threader.

Needle Threader
1. Raise the needle to its highest position.
Pull down the needle threader knob as far as it will go.
2. Turn the knob in the direction of the arrow in the illustration, then insert Hook Fig 1. into the needle eye.
Lead the thread around Guide Fig 2. and under Hook Fig 1 .
3. Turn the knob in the direction of the arrow in the illustration, drawing the thread loop through the needle.
4. Pull the thread through the needle eye.
* The needle threader can be used with a
#11 to #16 needle or a Janome Blue Tip
needle. Thread size 50 to 100 should also
work well.
