Threading Instructions
* Raise the presser foot. Press the needle up/down button (Figure 1) to raise
the thread take-up lever to its highest position. button (Figure 1) Needle up/down button
1. Turn the power switch off. Draw the end of the thread around the upper thread
guide.
2. While holding the thread near the spool (Figure 2), draw the end of the thread down around the check spring holder (Figure 3). (Figure 2) Spool (Figure 3) Check spring holder (4)
3. Firmly draw the thread up from right to left over the take-up lever, and down into the eye of take-up lever. (Figure 4) Eye of take-up lever
4. Pass the thread through the lower thread guide. Slide the thread behind the needle bar thread guide on the left.

5. Use the needle threader to thread the needle (see page 22).
