Threading Instructions

Threading the upper thread:

A) Turn the power switch to 0.
B) Check that the needle is fully raised.
C) Raise the presser foot. Place thread spool on one of the spool holders and hold while threading.
D) Slip the thread into the first guide on the back of the machine and then take it through the long slit on the thread tension (fig. 1).
E) Take the thread down through the long slot A on the front of the machine, slip it into the thread regu­lator B, up into the slit of the thread take-up C and down
again to the thread guide D on the needle clamp (fig. 2).
F) Thread the needle from front to back.
G) The eye of the needle is easy to see against the white plate on the presser foot shaft. Pull the thread approx. 10 cm (4 “) through the needle.

 

When using special threads such as metal or embroi­dery threads which wind quickly off the spool, thread the supplementary guide on the handle to control the thread feed.

When using the supple­mentary guide, take the thread directly from the spool to the guide and raise the handle (fig. 3). Continue threading as described above.

 

Bringing up the lower thread

1) Turn the power switch to 1
2) Hold the end of the upper thread and sew a stitch by tapping the foot control once. Pull the upper thread to bring the lower thread up through the stitch plate hole (fig. 1). Take both threads through the slot in the presser foot and to the side of the foot.
Instead of tapping the foot control, the lower thread can be brought up by turning the handwheel forwards until the needle is in its highest position .

Threading Instructions

   1) Turn hand wheel to raise take-up lever to highest point.

   2) Raise stitch chart cover and place thread on either of the two spool pins.

  3) Lead thread through all threading points shown, including the thread control.

  4) Thread needle from front to back.

  5) Draw sufficient thread through eye of needle with which to start sewing.

 

The automatic thread control, located above the tension, ensures a smooth flow of thread
from spool to needle. This device eliminates spool weight and drag by pulling off a
measured amount of thread before it passes through the tension discs.

CAUTION: On Console Models, make certain that Stitch Chart is closed before lowering
machine into cabinet.

Threading Your Kenmore 385.16126200 Sewing Machine.

 

 

Raise the thread take-up lever to its highest position by
turning the handwheel counterclockwise.

• Raise the presser foot lifter.

• Place a spool on the spool pin, with the thread coming
off as shown.

 

1) Draw the end of the thread around the upper thread guide.

2) While holding the thread near the spool, draw the end of
the thread down around the check spring holder.

3) Firmly draw the thread up from right to left over the
take-up lever, and down into the take-up lever eye.

4) Slide the thread behind the needle bar thread guide on
the left.

5) Thread the needle from front to back, or use a needle
threader.

Singer 776 Sewing Machine How to thread.

 

 

1) Turn hand wheel toward you to raise needle to highest
position with take-up lever midway in slot.

Raise presser foot to release tension discs.

 

2) Place spool of thread on spool pin over the spool pin felt.

Lead thread through all points as shown, making sure to:
• Thread tension discs as illustrated. –

• Thread take-up lever from back to front, guiding thread
down over top of lever and then up into eyelet.

• Thread needle from front to back, drawing about four inches
(10cm) of thread through eye of needle.

Janome 4623LE Plus Sewing Machine How to thread.

 

 

Press the Up/Down needle position button to raise the needle to its highest position.
Raise the presser foot with the presser foot lifter and thread in the order from (Fig 1 to 5).

1) Lead the thread from the spool and pass it through the thread guide. Then draw it down along the
right slot.

2) Guide the thread around the bottom of the thread guide plate from right to left, then draw it upward.

3) Firmly draw the thread from right to left over the take-up lever and down into the take-up lever eye.
Then guide it down along the left slot.

4) Slide the thread from the left behind the needle bar thread guide.

5) Thread the needle.
