How To Thread A Morse 300 Sewing Machine

Threading the Machine

UPPER (NEEDLE) THREAD
1. Turn the balance wheel by hand toward you until the take-up lever is at the highest point.
2. Place a spool of thread on spool pin (A).
3. Lead the thread through the thread-guide (B).
4. Run the thread down and back up through the tension discs (C) from right to left.
5. Raise the thread over the top of the check spring (D) and down again under the retaining bar (E) from right to left.
6. Take the thread up, running the end through the eye of the take-up lever (F) from right to left.
7. Now run the thread down through the thread-guide (G) and then through the next thread-guide (H).
8. Now run fhe end of the thread through the eye of the needle FROM LEFT TO RIGHT, drawing it through about six inches.
