Raise the thread take-up lever to its highest position by
turning the handwheel counterclockwise.

• Raise the presser foot lifter.

• Place a spool on the spool pin, with the thread coming
off as shown.

 

1) Draw the end of the thread around the upper thread guide.

2) While holding the thread near the spool, draw the end of
the thread down around the check spring holder.

3) Firmly draw the thread up from right to left over the
take-up lever, and down into the take-up lever eye.

4) Slide the thread behind the needle bar thread guide on
the left.

5) Thread the needle from front to back, or use a needle
threader.

Singer 776 Sewing Machine How to thread.

 

 

1) Turn hand wheel toward you to raise needle to highest
position with take-up lever midway in slot.

Raise presser foot to release tension discs.

 

2) Place spool of thread on spool pin over the spool pin felt.

Lead thread through all points as shown, making sure to:
• Thread tension discs as illustrated. –

• Thread take-up lever from back to front, guiding thread
down over top of lever and then up into eyelet.

• Thread needle from front to back, drawing about four inches
(10cm) of thread through eye of needle.

Janome 4623LE Plus Sewing Machine How to thread.

 

 

Press the Up/Down needle position button to raise the needle to its highest position.
Raise the presser foot with the presser foot lifter and thread in the order from (Fig 1 to 5).

1) Lead the thread from the spool and pass it through the thread guide. Then draw it down along the
right slot.

2) Guide the thread around the bottom of the thread guide plate from right to left, then draw it upward.

3) Firmly draw the thread from right to left over the take-up lever and down into the take-up lever eye.
Then guide it down along the left slot.

4) Slide the thread from the left behind the needle bar thread guide.

5) Thread the needle.

How To Thread A Sewing Machine – Singer XL6562.

 

 

1. Raise the presser foot using the presser foot lever.

    Figure 1 – Presser foot lever.

 

2. Raise the needle to it’s highest position by turning the balance wheel toward you (Counterclockwise).

 

3. Place a spool of thread on the horizontal spool pin and press the spool cap on the spool pin to hold thread in place.

     The thread should come from the bottom front of the spool.

 

4. Deliver the thread as shown in this diagram.

 

5. Be sure to guide the thread through the thread take up lever from the right to the left.

How to thread a sewing machine – Singer 7258.

 

 

THREADING THE TOP THREAD

A. Raise the presser foot lifter. Always be sure to raise the presser foot lifter before threading the top thread. (If the presser foot lifter is not raised, correct thread tension cannot be obtained.)

 

B. Turn the hand wheel toward you until the needle is in its highest position.

 

C. Thread the machine with your left hand while firmly gripping the thread with your right hand in the following order as illustrated.

* Guide the thread through thread guide (1 ), and then pull it into the pre-tension guide (2).
* Pull the thread into the tension discs (which are located inside the machine) by first passing the thread to the left of plate (2). Then guide the thread to the bottom of the groove.
* Do a U-turn around the inside of the tab (3).
* Pass the thread through the thread take-up ( 4) from right to left.
* Pull the thread into the inside of the take-up lever until it reaches the eye of the lever.
* Guide the thread into the thread guide (5).
* Pass the thread through the eye of the needle (6) from front to back. (See following page for instructions on operation of the Automatic Needle Threader.)

 

 

IMPORTANT:
To verify that the machine is threaded properly in the tension discs, do this simple check:
1.) With the presser foot raised and the needle unthreaded, pull the thread. You should detect only a slight resistance and little or no deflection of the needle.
2.) Now lower the presser foot and again pull the thread towards the the back of the machine. This time you should detect a considerable amount of resistance and much more deflection of the needle. If you do not detect the resistance, this means you have not threaded the machine correctly and need to rethread it. .
