Singer 2932 Sewing Machine Threading Instructions.

Threading Instructions

* Start by raising the needle to its highest point (1 ), and also raise the presser foot to release the tension discs.
Note: For safety, it is strongly suggested you turn off the power before threading.

Lift up the spool pin. Place the spool of thread on the holder with the thread coming off the spool as shown. For small thread spools, place small side of spool holder next to spool. (3)

Draw thread from spool through the upper thread guide. (4)

Guide thread around thread guide (5) pulling thread through pre-tension spring as illustrated.

Thread tension module by leading thread down right channel and up left channel (6). During this process it is helpful to hold
the thread between the spool and thread guide (4)

At the top of this movement pass thread from right to left through the slotted eye of the take-up lever and then downwards again.

Pass thread behind the flat, horizontal thread guide. (8)

Now take thread behind the thin wire needle clamp guide and then down to the needle which should be threaded from front to back. Pull about 6-8 inches of thread to the rear beyond
the needle eye. (9)

NOTE* If your sewing machine is equipped with the factory installed optional automatic needle threader, instructions for use can be found on page 26.

* Raise the presser foot lifter.
* Press the up/down needle position button twice to raise the needle.

1) Lead the thread from the spool and pass it through the thread guide. Then draw it down along the right slot.

2) Then, down around the check spring holder.

3) Firmly draw the thread from right to left over the take-up lever and down into the take-up lever eye.

4) Slide the thread behind the needle bar thread guide on the left.
Thread the needle from front to back or use the needle threader.

Threading Instructions

Raise take-up lever 5 to its highest point.

Place thread on spool pin and hold with right hand.

Lead thread into self-threading guide 1 from under side,
Down and from right to left behind or in front of center
tension disc 2 (Center disc separates threads for twin needle sewing.)
Into the loop of the take-up spring 3,
Under the slack thread regulator 4,
Up and from right to left through hole in take-up lever 5,
Down through guides 6 and 7 on face plate,
Into guide 8 on needle clamp,
From front to hack through eye of needle 9.

Draw about two inches of thread through eye of needle with which to start sewing.

Note: You may want to cut the end of thread with sharp scissors for easier needle threading.

Raise the thread take-up lever to its highest position by turning the handwheel counterclockwise

Raise the presser foot lifter.

Place a spool on the spool pin, with thread coming off as shown .

1) Draw the end of thread around the upper thread guide.

2) While holding the thread near the spool, draw the end of the thread down around the check spring holder.

3) Firmly draw the thread up from right to left over the take-up lever and down into the take-up lever eye.

4) Slide the thread behind the needle bar thread guide on the left.

5) Thread the needle from front to back or use a needle threader.

Note: You may want to cut the end of thread with sharp scissors for easier needle threading.
